Oval Invincibles Rebrand To MI London: Reliance-Surrey Hundred Deal Finalised For 2026

Oval Invincibles Rebrand As MI London As Hundred Deal Finalised
The most successful franchise in The Hundred’s history, Oval Invincibles
, will undergo a major rebranding to MI London from the 2026 season onwards. Surrey Cricket Club and Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) have finalized their partnership, marking the completion of all eight equity deals from the ECB’s landmark sale earlier this year.
Oval Invincibles dominated The Hundred with five titles in five years—women’s back-to-back wins in 2021-22 and men’s three straight triumphs, including this summer’s final against Trent Rockets at Lord’s. Reliance’s 49% stake values the franchise at £123 million, second only to London Spirit’s £295 million.
MI Global Empire Expands To London
The rebranding aligns the men’s and women’s teams with the Mumbai Indians ecosystem:
IPL: Mumbai Indians (5 titles)
SA20: MI Cape Town
ILT20: MI Emirates
MLC: MI New York
WPL: Mumbai Indians Women
MI’s 13 titles across 17 years across competitions underscore the brand’s winning pedigree. Surrey chairman Oli Slipper highlighted the commercial synergy: “MI London will give us the best opportunity to build the fanbase at home and across the world… boosting investment into the long-term sustainable growth of Surrey and cricket in our community.”
Statements From Key Stakeholders

Surrey’s Brand Dilemma Resolved
Negotiations dragged due to Surrey’s attachment to the “Oval Invincibles” identity tied to Kia Oval. However, MI’s global appeal won out, promising fanbase expansion and revenue growth while preserving competitive success.
2026 marks a new era for The Hundred’s dominant force, blending Surrey’s home-ground legacy with MI’s trophy-winning blueprint. Expect intensified rivalry as MI London aims to extend the Invincibles’ dominance.
