Virat Kohli laughing and teasing Kuldeep Yadav in the Indian dressing room after the spinner receives the Impact Player of the Series medal vs South Africa

Virat Kohli and Kuldeep Yadav shared a light-hearted moment in the Indian dressing room after the ODI series win over South Africa. The clip also showed how much value the team placed on Kuldeep’s performances with the ball.

Kohli’s “Ro de, ro de” joke in the dressing room

After India sealed the series 2-1 against South Africa, Kuldeep Yadav was awarded the “Impact Player of the Series” medal in the dressing room. Bowling coach Ryan ten Doeschate praised the left-arm spinner’s contribution before handing him the medal. When Kuldeep was asked to say a few words, he became a bit emotional and ran out of things to say, which triggered some friendly teasing from his teammates.

At that moment, Virat Kohli jokingly said “Ro de, ro de” (cry, cry), making everyone laugh and easing the mood. Kuldeep then managed a short speech, congratulating “Virat bhai” and Yashasvi Jaiswal, saying Jaiswal had played an unbelievable innings in the decider. The moment summed up the relaxed, family-like atmosphere inside the Indian camp.

Kuldeep’s superb series with the ball

Kuldeep Yadav finished as the leading wicket-taker in the three-match ODI series, picking up nine wickets. His control in the middle overs and ability to break partnerships kept South Africa under constant pressure. In the deciding ODI at Visakhapatnam, he took four wickets as India bowled the visitors out for 270, combining nicely with pacer Prasidh Krishna, who also took four.

This strong showing continued Kuldeep’s excellent white-ball form over the last year. His wrist-spin remains one of India’s biggest weapons in ODIs, and the “Impact Player of the Series” medal underlined how central he was to this 2-1 result. Kohli, Jaiswal and Rohit dominate the chase

With the bat, Virat Kohli had a dream series. He scored 302 runs in three innings, including two centuries and an unbeaten 65 in the third ODI. His consistency and calmness made him the obvious choice for Player of the Series. In the final match, he scored another fluent fifty as India chased down 271 with ease.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, who had failed to convert good starts in the first two games, produced his first ODI century in the decider while opening with Rohit Sharma. Rohit also chipped in with a classy 75, and the top order’s dominance meant India cruised to a nine-wicket win. The performance highlighted a strong blend of experienced stars and emerging talent at the top.
